Bill graduated from the Yale University Physician Associate Program in 1978 and moved back to his home state of Maine, settling in Dover-Foxcroft as the first practicing PA in Piscataquis
County and is still practicing there. His first five years were shared between family
practice and orthopedics, and the last 25 years have been spent in a busy orthopedic
practice working with orthopedic surgeons. He also spends time at a local occupation
health clinic and has volunteered at the local high school in the student health clinic
and at athletic events. Bill has been a member of DEAPA since his return to Maine
and has been a member of the Board for four terms, currently as President. He has
been the recipient of the DEAPA Rural PA of the Year award twice (1995 and 2006).
Bill is married to Elaine and has three grown daughters and is active on several
community and church boards. In his spare time, Bill enjoys fly fishing, canoeing,
hiking, golfing, cross-country skiing, and reading.
