Noel has lived and worked in Maine since 1982, working in a variety of clinical settings. She has served on the DEAPA Board twice and has been chairperson of the PA Advisory Committee to the Board of Licensure in Medicine. Service to the AAPA includes six years of JAAPA's editorial board and three years on the Education Council. She was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the UNE PA Program from its start until she resigned to work in England's NHS for a year in 2005-2006. Noel currently works at Mercy's Recovery Center for alcohol and drug addiction and as Project Director of the Maine Medical Association/Board of Licensure in Medicine Chronic Pain Project.
