This is Shane's third term on the Board, having served as a student director from the 2007 class of UNE's PA Program. He has been involved in the medical field for the past 19 years and studied emergency medicine at Texas Tech University. He also studied general and tropical medicine at the U of N in Kona, Hawaii, and currently maintains Paramedic certification in two states. In addition, he has practiced as an Intermediate practitioner overseas. In 1996, he and his wife Sandy founded READI Teams, a nonprofit organization, providing primary health care and community development to rural communities in developing countries. Shane and Sandy reside in Owls Head with their 11 year old daughter Jamie.
