Alan Hull PA-C F. Alan Hull, PA-C, has been practicing medicine in Maine since 1986. He received his PA certificate from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on August 20, 1981. For the next four and one-half years he worked in Rochester, New York. Then, in 1986, he accepted a position at the Sacopee Valley Health Center in Kezar Falls. Other Maine employment has included Orthopaedic Associates of Portland, Scarborough Healthcare, and Maine Spine and Rehabilitation in Scarborough where he has been since 1993. At Maine Spine and Rehabilitation, Alan is responsible for the evaluation and management of acute and chronic neurological, musculoskeletal and spinal problems, as well as management of acute and chronic pain. Alan has been active in the DEAPA organization since 1988, serving in several Board capacities. He currently continues his work on the DEAPA Constitution and Bylaws Committee, monitoring our rules and regulations and making suggestions for changes as needed. Not only is he well known throughout the Maine PA community, but Alan has represented DEAPA and all Maine PAs on the national level. Over the years, he has served as a DEAPA alternate delegate to the American Academy of Physician Assistants House of Delegates (HOD); as Chair to the HOD Standing Rules Committee and the Ad Hoc Subcommittee for Bylaws Review and Revision; and as Sergeant At Arms to the HOD. Alan currently serves on the AAPA Board of Directors and is Second Vice-Speaker to the HOD. Alan devotes his spare time to his wife and fellow PA, Susan Kepes, and their nine-year old daughter Linnea. He is also working at perfecting his Chinese cooking skills. Being a firm believer that specialization is for insects, Alan has a vast array of interests, including rock climbing and white water canoeing. In addition, he holds, or has held, a bareboat certification for sailboats, skydiving license, and a pilot's license for single engine aircraft. |
